Responsibilities:
An Audit Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the preparation for and servicing of audits of MGM's books and records by third party participants, guilds and others, and providing analytical and other support to the company's participations and residuals functions, and legal team.
· Analyzing accountings and relevant agreements;
· Reconciling said accountings against transactions reported in relevant source systems;
· Gathering documents and other information relevant to the audit, including those responsive to auditor requests;
· Analyzing claims;
· Managing audit calendars and paperwork/digital files associated with the audit function;
· Providing research and related support as needed by the department and company legal staff; and
· Providing support to the Participation department's monthly financial close.
Requirements:
· B.A. or B.S. degree with a major or minor in accounting (preferred), business or finance.
· Minimum 1 year experience is preferred.
· Able to work independently with minimal supervision and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
· Well organized, detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
· Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Able to adapt to different software environments; strong proficiency in Excel
