Description
Method Design is the feature and commercial design group working along side Method Studios. The position will be based out of our Los Angeles office, but will oversee the overall design aesthetic for artists within other Method Studios locations. The Executive Creative Director will guide creative for the company and will direct a team of creative directors and art directors on a daily basis to ensure that client expectations and creative guidelines are adhered to. This position will also be responsible for design direction and execution along with leading the vocal presentations to client, whether via conference call or in-person. Candidate must have exceptional communication skills and be extremely well-versed in client relations, especially in conveying artists concepts as well as production procedures and pipeline. The Executive Creative Director of Method Design is the creative face of the group and responsible for the overall quality of all projects being produced by the group.
Qualifications
• 8 years of professional experience in design, motion graphics, feature film titles and production.
• 5 years experience in management, or company oversight roll.
• Degree from accredited design/art university a plus.
• Desire to create the highest quality of work under tight deadlines.
• Finely tuned design aesthetics and the ability to execute ''A Level'' styleframes for pitch presentations.
• Excellent conceptual thinker, employing ''out-of-the-box thinking.''
• Expert in Adobe CS including: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects. InDesign is a plus.
• Familiarity with traditional VFX pipelines is highly beneficial.
• Must have excellent graphic design and typography skills.
• 3D knowledge and/or familiarity a plus, must be able to work together with 3D generalists and specialists to help drive creative.
• Personal skill-set in 3D (C4D or Maya) during boarding process is highly recommended.
• Good ability to communicate, and equipped with problem-solving skills is a must.
• A portfolio of both design boards as well as motion examples of work in production is a must.
