Description
Method Studios is currently in search of a Character Pipeline TD to join the Rigging team.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Develop tools and pipeline for the Rigging department and any other department that interfaces with rigging.
• Create and support tools for the Rigging department. ie: deformer import / export, rigging toolset and framework, animation tools, Face rig toolsets, techanim tools ..etc.
• Work in partnership with other departments such as pipeline, animation, or lighting to ensure a stable, efficient, and flexible pipeline throughout the departments.
• Help support, maintain, and extend the existing mocap ingestion toolsets to continually improve the Mocap pipeline.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years work experience in feature film/broadcast VFX production.
• Strong Python skills is essential. MEL experience is helpful.
• Solid knowledge of rigging systems and animation pipeline.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Maya.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good technical knowledge and understanding with a potential to learn and grow further.
• Must be a self starter. Solid time and project management skills.
• Must be willing to take direction well, a good team player, and has good work ethics.
• Accessibility and willingness to collaborate is a must!
• Strong Math skills (linear algebra) and Maya API / plugins development experience is a plus.
