Marketing Manager (Cluster), Merlin Entertainments
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Manager to take full responsibility for all the Marketing activities for two new visitor attraction sites in the San Francisco Bay area; the San Francisco Dungeon and Madame Tussauds.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager who will play a key role in the commercial success of both our San Francisco businesses. Through the planning and implementation of our marketing plan you will drive awareness and pre-bookings through online, trade, schools and groups. You will plan and execute the annual local and regional marketing plan, maximise visitor driven ticket revenues, in particular through PR launch plans and quick hits, as well as managing promotions, advertising, direct mail, online, network marketing and cross promotions. You will have the persona and confidence to influence key partners and maximise the commercial benefits of these relationships. The ability to understand the correct visitor and sales channel mix is essential to achieve customer satisfaction and maximise revenue for the attraction.
Reporting to the General Manager who also oversees both sites, this is a great opportunity to combine working with two exciting global brands in a fast paced, fun commercial environment. You can also look forward to integrating marketing activity with some exciting IP's along the way.
What We're Looking For
You must have 5 - 10 years previous marketing experience at management level, ideally within the leisure, travel or entertainment sector.
You will have a strong bias toward trade and be well connected within the local area, ideally having previously worked on projects involving celebrity liaison.
You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have proven experience building strong relationships and networks.
Salary and Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary in the region of $80-$90k depending on experience, a generous benefits package and the potential of an international career. Do well and you really could find yourself anywhere in the world.
