INTERN POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR SPRING 2017: Memory Lane Music Group is a New York based global music publisher that supports a dynamic and expanding catalog of songs. We are in search of interns for our Midtown office looking to work for college credit.
Candidates must possess:
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Professional demeanor and personal appearance
- Basic knowledge of music publishing and record label functions
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Proficiency in conducting Internet research
- Tech savviness
- Motivation to work in a fast-paced, music industry environment
- Knowledge of Video Production/Post is a plus but not necessary
Duties will include:
- Updating digital catalog of songs
- Researching and indexing newly acquired catalogs
- Researching song copyright, recording, and release information
- Updating songs on our website and ''tagging'' audio instrumentation/details
- Researching potential synch opportunities
- Reviewing and recommending A&R submissions
- Researching potential projects for song pitching
- Royalty review, processing, and mailing out
- Copyright data input into our Music Maestro software and other tech portals
- Preparing financial reporting for clients using excel
- Large data set manipulation
- Reviewing artist and publishing contracts for obligations pertinent to assigned project
