Media Services, a fast paced Entertainment Payroll Company, seeks candidates for a full-time Residuals Analyst position in our Los Angeles office. Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years residuals processing experience, as well as excellent attention to detail and willingness to work as part of a team.
Position Summary: The primary responsibilities of the Residuals Analyst position include analyzing, preparing, and verifying residuals set ups and payments for Television, New Media and Theatrical products and distribution markets. The Residuals Analyst must perform residuals set ups and payments at the highest level of accuracy, reliability and efficiency. In addition, this position supports and assists the Residuals Department with various special projects and tasks as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Independently sets up shows for all guilds, markets, and product types including but not limited to film, tape, dramatic, and non-dramatic.
2. Independently researches inquiries and provides problem solving techniques for related to residuals rules, set ups, and payments.
3. Verifies residuals set ups and payments when needed for all guilds, markets, and product types.
4. Records the status of set ups and payments assigned promptly and accurately using the department tracking system and logs.
5. Documents and stores all ''back-ups'' of residuals set ups and payments assigned on the tracker and electronic show-folder in the shared drive.
6. Produces forecasts, estimates, and audit reports from scratch, and performs special projects for clients.
7. Assists in training the coordinators on system procedures, department procedures and residuals rules.
8. Supports and assists the Supervisor and Director in achieving both department and company goals through various projects when requested.
9. Contributes and assists the Systems Administrator with system enhancements and testing when requested.
10. Performs all coordinator-level job functions for both the client and processing groups.
11. Possesses and retains a high level of knowledge on both current and future residuals rules and regulations as they are implemented.
Essential Experience and Skills:
1. Strong knowledge of collective bargaining agreements including SAG, AFTRA, DGA, WGA, IATSE, AFM.
2. Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
3. Ability to type 40 wpm and use 10 key by touch.
4. Ability to prioritize work to meet competing deadlines.
5. Excellent math aptitude
6. Well versed with computers and software applications including Microsoft excel formulas.
7. Excellent client and customer service skills.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
9. Excellent attention to detail.
10. Ability to effectively work with minimal supervision.
11. Strong analytical skills.
