Essential Job Functions:
• Review and respond to lawsuits and wage and hour claims against the payroll companies. Attend DOL hearings if required.
• Research State and Federal wage and hour laws, as well as any governmental policy changes such as the PPACA and WTPA, and answer any questions arising from payroll dept. and/or clients.
• Review and negotiate any comments or remarks from clients on any of our legal documents, such as PSAs and related addendums.
• Have basic knowledge of immigration laws and which new hire documents are required for foreigners to work in the United States and for such foreigners to claim tax exemptions.
• Update corporate minutes for all 42 companies on an annual basis as well as when changes are made throughout the year.
• Review all marketing content, such as news and advisory letters, and Media Services website to ensure proper verbiage is being used.
• Work with Trademark and Copyright counsel to ensure all our marks are properly registered with the USPTO and in good standing.
• Review and respond to clients' requests concerning state and federal audits.
• Assist Employment Verification dept. with drafting letters and responding to clients with unique requests.
• Setup all new shows in Mediapay, once approved through all the work order channels..
• Assist various departments with client communication.
Essential Job Requirements:
• Backup Facilities and Storage dept.
• Backup Business Affairs staff.
• On call for Store and Café security breach emergencies.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs such as filemaker.
• Effective in verbal and written communication.
• Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
• Basic knowledge of the motion picture industry practices.
