Full Time Job
We're looking for a Video Editor who will use Premiere and After Effects to create micro-content on various social media platforms. You'll identify the best method to communicate the story of a movie title or brand and collaborate with our production/account team(s) closely throughout the process. You'll edit raw footage from original productions, re-cut assets delivered from our clients, and assist and advise video content shoots in-house in order to create the best workflow for post-production. Additionally, you'll customize content to platform specifications and conduct regular research about evolving video specifications.
It's video production on it's highest setting, requiring hour-to-hour problem solving. While each individual is expected to take ownership of completing assigned projects, you should also be prepared to collaborate with other artists in order to get the best results.
- 12 Week contract
- Full-time Tuesday - Friday 9am - 6pm and Saturday 1pm -12pm (dependent on client needs)
- Remote flexible/ Playa Vista, CA
DAY-TO-DAY:
- When on set, ensure shooting modes (camera settings, correct shooting format, etc.) are in line with post-production requests
- Organize and string together raw footage into a continuous whole according to internal team/client vision
- Review assembled content (on each platform the content is designed for) and determine if corrections are necessary
- Review footage sequence by sequence in order to become familiar with it before assembling into a final product
- Record needed sounds or obtain them from sound effects libraries
- Manipulate story, score, SFX, and graphics to make the parts into a continuous whole
- Work closely with the design/animation teams to integrate graphic elements
- Piece sounds together to develop soundtracks
- Work with the project managers to create a production schedule based on workflow criteria requested by the accounts teams
MUST HAVES:
- Expert in Premiere and Speedgrade/Divinci Resolve
- Strong sense of composition, lighting, and timing
- Working knowledge of relevant video and camera equipment
- Clear understanding of video and how it's growing within social media marketing
- Up-to-date knowledge and future forecasting of time-based media art trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially able to convey clear and articulate feedback
- Ability to quickly shift gears between ideation and creation
BONUS POINTS:
- Experience with Photoshop and/or After Effects
- Previous experience with social media advertising
