Full Time Job
This position is responsible for working closely with our external and internal content distribution partners to ensure that each of these entities are delivering first in class marketing support for all the content we are producing for our partners.
This position will be responsible for working closely with the Partnerships, Digital Products and New Media Content teams to develop programs that will aid our internal distribution and sales teams in the distribution of our products. This could involve the develop of material to aid in the sales of a one-shot program to a movie partner OR working closely with the content team to refine and package a programming concept so that it is more saleable to a new promotional or distribution partner.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Digital team on the packaging of their content to outside partners and to work closely with each content distribution partner on their marketing and PR plans and execution for each show that the respective partner is responsible for bringing to the consumers.
• Coordinate packaging, marketing materials and review sales material with the ad/custom sales teams to ensure that each of these programs are on brand and convey each of characters in a manner that is in keeping with the expectations of our fans and consumers in general.
• Actively participate in the development of content and programming strategies with our digital/new media teams. This will require active and constant communication with Sales, Products, Analytics and Content.
• Take lead on the development of marketing and promotional strategies to support any wholly owned branded distribution activities.
• Work with the CRM team to identify new digital consumer trends/habits/tools, and build relationships with potential partners.
• Collaborate on the PR activities for our New Media activities.
• Direct oversight over all Conventions and events related to New Media.
Candidate will report directly the VP, Head of Platforms & Content New/Media.
Basic Qualifications
A minimum of 5-years as a high-level sales integration and/or marketing manager – preferably for an entertainment related brand.
Proven ability to build, manage, and lead a team.
The ability to assist, and guide, a content team to help shape a project from the kernel of an idea to a finished, and monetized, product (whether scripted or unscripted) – while still overseeing sales and marketing aspects.
A strong grounding and appreciation for platform agnostic content development, packaging, sponsorship, and monetization.
An instinct for a story's lifecycle across multiple digital platforms.
Keen insight into the world of social media and what video means in that space.
The dexterity and demeanor to work with other people and teams of people both inside and outside of the company to accomplish the goals set forth.
Mature, interpersonal skills with an openness to objective, constructive criticism.
