This position within the Global Content Distribution Strategy group is responsible for managing activities related to domestic and international program sales in support of Marvel's distribution strategies. The role requires knowledge of content distribution platforms, windowing, licensed rights, and distribution agreements. This person will provide support for the department including the Director of New Media Distribution & Digital Business Strategy.
Reporting to the VP, Global Content Distribution Strategy, the Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Marvel's Television and Digital Media Group video content portfolio. Additionally, the Manager will track contract terms, rights granted, avails, in-home releases, and launch/rollout calendars and will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date distribution records.
Responsibilities
• Manage global content portfolio including executed deals, avails, holdbacks/windowing, rollout of video content across linear TV, SVOD, VOD, Pay TV, DVD/BD, and New Media platforms
• Responsible for evaluating and tracking in-home entertainment (EST/DVD/BD) releases working in partnership with Disney Home Entertainment
• Compose and distribute Executive Deal Summaries and alert notices to internal stakeholders in support of strategic distribution plans
• Maintain sales status reports, global rollout schedules, programming calendars
• Monitor ultimates and revenue reports, inter-facing with Finance, to track sales targets
• Provide support to Disney's global distribution force for independent or multi-territory deals to optimize revenue opportunities
• Track domestic and international programming plans of new, current and library titles to ensure desired windowing and ideal rollouts
• Work across LOBs including Content, Production, Finance, Business Affairs, Operations, Marketing/PR and Disney's cross-LOBs for information sharing, asset inquiries/needs, and status reports
• Create sales decks for VP's internal and external presentations and provide required support for content/media markets (e.g. Mipcom, LA Screenings, etc.)
Basic Qualifications
• 3-5 years in media; content distribution a plus
• Experience with license agreements; contract administration a plus
• Knowledge of domestic and international content distribution landscape
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, motivated, efficient
• Ability to be self-sufficient in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Solid relationship-building skills and ability to interface with cross-function teams
• Track record of making an impact on business growth
