Full Time Job
Support Manager, Talent Relations in the communication, follow-ups, and scheduling of new and current talent, including:
Cover Assignments & Tracking
• Maintain a list of active covers, talent assigned to them, and track the deliveries of covers
• Organize a list of talent appropriate for covers to share with Talent Management and the Editorial Team
• Track materials required for the Previews catalogue, setting follow-ups with Editors and highlighting concerns to share with the Sales team
• Assist the Talent Management team and the Sales group in managing variant cover programs.
Colorist & Inker Workloads
• Build delivery schedules and track talent between editorial offices
• Maintain 3-week list of available talent for use in making recommendations to editors on the fly
• Maintain long view of exclusive colorists projects, flagging lags in workload and conflicting projects for review with Manager, Talent Relations and the Editorial team
Talent Inquiries and Development
• Respond to talent inquiries as directed by the Manager, Talent Relations
• Manage an archive of talent samples for reference by the Talent Management Team as well as Editorial
• Track the history and follow-ups for promising talent, per the Manager, Talent Relations
Talent Management – Recruitment
• When requested by Manager, Talent Relations - travel to domestic & international conventions, events & art schools to review portfolios of prospective artists.
• Upon return, follow-up with talent with the appropriate sample scripts and test pages
Basic Qualifications
• Knowledge of comic book industry and trends
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Practiced documentation skills
• Basic computer skills
