We are a small agency in Venice CA, specializing in uniting music oriented events with world-class brands, to create experiential marketing opportunities, both on the ground and in the digital world.
We are looking for a self-motivated, professional, responsible, Accountant/Bookkeeper, who is highly detail oriented & organized.
If you are an energetic, confident, detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills, this position may be a good fit for you.
Position Type:
Full-time, in-office, Bookkeeper.
Job Description:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for all day to day accounting functions. Candidate will work closely with and assist our Head of Finance in all accounting duties across 3 different sets of books. In addition to operational accounting there will be several of Projects that will require project accounting, which will require meticulous attention detail. Any production accounting experience will be helpful.
Job Responsibilities:
• Heavy credit card reconciliation
• Accounts Payable
• Process and reconciling Purchase Order (PO) for payment
• Coding of expenses to customer jobs
• Weekly check runs
• Ensure bills are paid timely
• Enter & code all credit card transactions
• Cash & Month End-Closing
• Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
• Monthly bank & credit card reconciliation
• Assist in month end budget v actual reports
• Assist in closing the month preparing monthly reports
• Budget & Year End Preparation
• Update and maintain budget
• Update monthly cash flow projection
• Other projects & tasks as needed
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (equivalent work experience will be considered)
• 3+ years of experience
• Proficient in Quickbooks Pro 2012, Quickbooks Accountant 2013, & Microsoft Programs
• Must know excel
• Self-starter with initiative and able to anticipate needed steps
• Multi-task and perform well under pressure
• Demonstrate sound business judgment and organizational ability
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work well with others, as well as the ability to work independently to drive a successful business
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision
• Ability to work independently and resourcefully in a productive, small office environment
• Focus to detail, taking initiative, and working in a positive working environment
