Intern - Traditional 2D Animation

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

We at Mariposa Pictures are creating a traditionally animated theatrical short which blends live action actors and traditional 2D animation. The short is a fully orchestrated and professionally choreographed musical where the actors are shot over green screen and then interact with 2D animated characters and props ala films like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Cool World, and classic Disney films like Song of the South and Mary Poppins.


We are looking for interns whom can help in our ink and paint department. Interns will help lead animator take the final linework from the animators, create clean, fluid lines in Flash or toon boom using specified guidelines for color and line weight, also take that line work and color it in based on the colors established in the character design sheets. Interns will be working closely with the assistant animator, crew and Producer to make sure that the integrity of each frame is maintained. Interns will not be reinterpreting the line work, but mostly tracing over the final lines established by the assistant animators.
