TRAILER & PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL EDITOR
MarVista Entertainment, a full service independent studio and distribution company, seeks a Trailer and Promotional Material Editor who will support the Operations and Marketing team in creating trailers and other digital marketing assets. In this newly established position we will be bringing in more in-house editing capabilities to support our marketing and sales needs. The position will start as a contractor for a minimum of 6 months with the potential for full-time employment.
This position reports to the Vice President of Operations and requires cross-functional interaction with Operations, Production, Sales, and Marketing.
Applicants must have experience working with file formats, and codecs, as well as having the talent to tell a compelling story in-line with MarVista's marketing objectives.

Core responsibilities include:
• Create and develop marketing concepts for trailers and promotional materials in-line with marketing objectives.
• Manage the process of completing marketing trailers through the phases of development, copy/scripts, editing, sound design and mixing, graphic animation / effects design, and creating all final technical deliverables.
• Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure creative vision is achieved.
• Develop promotional and sales material for in support of marketing and distribution plans.
• Coordinate and shoot on-set interviews, bonus, and behind the scenes content.
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years prior experience editing trailers and marketing content.
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe CC and Final Cut Pro 7.
• Experience in sound design and mixing 5.1 Surround.
• Extensive knowledge of Protools.
• Ability to operate both audio and video equipment at professional level.
• Extensive knowledge of file formats and codecs.
• Ability to create dynamic title treatments and transitions in After Effects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and general office skills, including Word and Excel programs.
• Ability to quickly learn and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
• Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
• Ability to work well and stay motivated under pressure.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
