MarVista Entertainment, one of the leading independent producers and distributors of programming in the worldwide television marketplace, is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the CFO and finance team, as well as serve as an Office Assistant. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, MarVista has grown from a global television distributor into a producer of original feature films and television series while building a library showcasing nearly 2,000 hours of content.
MarVista is looking for a hard working individual who is looking forward to assisting a fast growing office environment. He/she must be an extremely organized person with the ability to handle multiple priorities. This position reports to the Office Manager and supports the CFO of the Company.
Job Description:
This role is the Administrative Assistant to the CFO and finance team as well as the Office Assistant. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage the scheduling and other administrative duties for the CFO
• Answer incoming calls for the main office and greet office visitors
• Send/receive packages and schedule messengers
• Maintain office supply inventory and place orders as needed
• Monitor MarVista general email account daily to forward on any important messages
• Assist Office Manager with planning and preparation for company events
• Support Executive Director of Strategic Programs by assisting with business research and competitive analysis
• Assist with data collection for accounting and finance initiatives
• Special projects as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience
• College degree
• At least one year of professional experience or strong internships during college
• Excellent skills in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional phone etiquette
• Willingness to take on additional responsibility and growth as the company expands.
• Handles confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence, and good judgment
• Well-organized, self-directed team player
• Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and good judgment in all interactions with co-workers, customers, vendors and others
• Strong creative problem-solving skills, above average abilities to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
• Consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
