Maker Studios
Maker Studios, Inc. is a next-generation digital video studio/network. The Company has rolled-up a set of the largest and most influential YouTube channels/talent into a new network model. Maker provides each talent/channel in the network with production, promotion, and monetization resources to allow them to fully maximize their viewership and revenue potential. The Company currently represents 6,000 channels and delivers 4.5 billion monthly views. By bringing these once fragmented YouTube channels together, the Company offers unparalleled opportunities for content creators, brand advertisers, and consumers.
Responsibilities
- Work with Talent to manage and develop their brand by creating opportunities both internally and outside of Maker
- Strategize and execute creative collaboration plans that align with Maker goals as well as external opportunities for Talent
- Work on issues relating to Intellectual property and talent contracts, including liaising with Legal Departments to grow the brand
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure talent participation in media appearances, screenings, industry events such as Cannes Lions, photo shoots, on-air promos, Newfront, ad sales/marketing campaigns, content for digital platforms and special events
- Establish and maintain relationships with talent publicists, managers and agents to better facilitate and implement talent needs across Maker Studios
- Work with talent and digital marketing team to coordinate talent participation in digital/social initiatives, such as live tweeting during shows, Google hangouts etc. Ensure the Talent maintains a positive working relationship with the company
- Act swiftly to address urgent, sensitive and/or highly confidential matters relating to talent
- Manage staff of two to four with diverse responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communication, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience of heavy interaction with Talent in media, entertainment or digital company
Requirements
- Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team
- Proven ability to develop and effectively manage strong working relationships with executives and team
- Strategic, energized, and creative thinker with big picture mentality, able to align department with overall business goals
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written & verbal), and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines\
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An in depth understanding of media (TV and digital)
*Title of Director or VP will be determined by level of experience.
