Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Maker Studios is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, FP&A in our Culver City, CA location, reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A. This position will partner with our Programming team and some other departmental managers (as necessary) to deliver proactive and insightful financial information, analysis and key metrics to help optimize the current and future Programming business and drive management decisions. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with prior experience in programming, content development, financial reporting and modeling with moderate oversight, and will have strong presentation skills. Essential responsibilities and duties include budgeting, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis and ad hoc analysis.
Primary Responsibilities
• Support Programming business from a finance and operations standpoint
• Support annual budget and quarterly re-forecast processes, incorporating actual results, current trends, and future business operations (mainly for Programming business)
• Support monthly P&L forecast and close cycles by including actual results versus plan and preparing variance analyses for management and individual business owners
• Analyze current and historical trends in various metrics including revenue, gross margin and operating expense
• Assist in creating financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
• Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and senior management team
• Extract meaningful information from data-sets, present data in useful ways that illustrate strategic initiatives and serve as a key contact in reporting key financial metrics for the Company

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• MBA a plus
• 4-6 years in a financial reporting role in corporate finance, management consulting, investment banking or equivalent analytical experience
• Must have experience in programming, content development, distribution and monetization
• Solid understanding of basic accounting and finance principles
• Must be comfortable and have experience in a dynamic, rapidly growing, fast paced environment
• Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately, multi-task and work well under pressure with changing priorities
• High mathematical and analytical skills required. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
• Overall, a logical problem solver
• Demonstrates impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience in finance and/ or accounting for content development, programming and digital media required
