Maker Studios, Inc. is a next-generation digital video studio/network. The Company has rolled-up a set of the largest and most influential YouTube channels/talent into a new network model. Maker provides each talent/channel in the network with production, promotion, and monetization resources to allow them to fully maximize their viewership and revenue potential. The Company currently represents 6,000 channels and delivers 4.5 billion monthly views. By bringing these once fragmented YouTube channels together, the Company offers unparalleled opportunities for content creators, brand advertisers, and consumers.
Purpose of Position:
- Content strategy and YouTube best practices are important tools that serve our talent and drives views to our network.
- The Optimization Marketer will work with a talented team of digital experts to drive results via strategic content marketing recommendations, data driven content performance analysis, conversion of hard numeric data, and the utilization of market research to influence decisions
Key Responsibilities:
- Make content strategy recommendations supported by YouTube Analytics data insights.
- Recommend and implement video SEO and YouTube best practice strategies for talent channels and new uploads. Includes content strategy, titles, tags, descriptions, thumbnails, annotations, and more.
- Identify YouTube best practices via data driven testing and analysis.
- Analyze and report on viewership and audience growth across thousands of YouTube channels
- Digital market research for special projects
- Convert hard numeric data into compelling marketing stories
- Generate visually consumable reporting
- Keep abreast of the latest changes and trends across YouTube and other social media platforms
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from 4-year program or equivalent
- 2-5 years? experience in digital marketing / social media
- Expert user on YouTube platform (Interview process will include a basic test on YouTube best practices)
- Expertise with YouTube Analytics (YTA) and analytic tools including but not limited to: comScore and Google analytics or social analytic tools such as Twitter, Facebook, Insight, Abode Social, etc.
- Specific software: web, social analytics, reporting and analysis, media research and benchmarking
- Experience with marketing key performance indicators (KPI)
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Attention to detail and deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across teams
- Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written)
- SEO experience a plus.
- Intermediate graphic design skills a plus including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash
