Maker provides each talent/channel in the network with production, promotion, and monetization resources to allow them to fully maximize their viewership and revenue potential. Purpose of Position:
- The Content Operations & Partnerships Manager will serve as the manager of global content operations, and have a strong mix of editorial, creative, analytical and leadership skills.
- Candidate will produce promotional assets related to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, and manage the daily operations of Maker content for distribution and syndication.
- Candidate has a strong mix of editorial, creative, analytical and leadership skills to build valuable audiences across various partner platforms via engaging and brand-worthy content.
- There is a high degree of ownership related to this position. Direct oversight is minimal, so candidate must be self-motivated, self-directing and self-improving most of the time. This position is for someone who wants to be an owner of responsibility, not an assistant.
- Candidate reports to the VP, Content Operations & Marketing and works closely with Maker's Distribution, Tech/Engineering, Finance and Legal teams, and has cross-functional knowledge of content marketing-required technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the content strategy and delivery schedule for Maker Studios? 3rd party partner platforms, including creative assets as well as overseeing the video delivery. Key focus on building audience and revenue on third-party platforms.
- Organize and track talent syndication rights on a channel and asset level
- Organize and track distribution rights for Maker's owned and operated shows
- Support distribution business lead in achievement of revenue goals
- Communicate daily with content partners on operations and optimization of content and analyze current and potential distribution platforms based on SEO and market research
- Work with multiple internal departments to get all necessary assets completed for campaigns (Tech, Legal, Production, Finance, Sales and Programming)
- Build production models for custom content delivery (e.g. programming blocks of Maker content for specific platforms or for DVD creation)
- Assist with developing and brainstorming distribution and syndication strategies
- Own ongoing reporting and summaries of business performance
- Support the syndication and distribution team in day to day research and market analysis
- Manage and run daily reporting on key analytics and projects on multiple projects
Requirements:
- 3 years of content marketing, managing and programming digital content for partners
- Knowledge of the online video industry and marketing/promotional tools to drive engagement
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects and personalities in cross-functional teams
- Prior involvement in scaling a large content program
- Black-belt knowledge of CMS & CRM tools used for planning and publishing content
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort with client interfacing role
- Deadline driven and highly flexible to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, particularly at complex or technical material
- Fluency in MS Office Suite, Salesforce, Photoshop required
- Production and budgeting expertise beneficial
