Hiring Manager: Director, Revenue Operations
Ad Operations Manager
The Ad Operations Manager will play a critical role within company ensuring successful campaign delivery for rapidly growing sales team. Interfacing with YouTube Ad Operations, O&O website's Ad Operations tools (Servers and SSPs), forecasting inventory, monetizing evolving digital properties and strong analytical mindset is of utmost importance. Maker Studios is looking for someone who is able to roll up their sleeves, help build an ad operations business from the ground up and provide support to multiple teams across the company. Ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of DFP/XFP.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the use of DFP to monetize YouTube channels and Owned & Operated Websites
• Develop forecasting and trafficking best practices
• Interface with YouTube Ad Operations ensure the launch, delivery, and reporting of advertising campaigns on YouTube
• Master all Google tools for launching and monitoring advertising campaigns
• Support Sales Team with any request related to ad campaign RFPs, inventory, creative spec questions, campaign launch and reporting
• Maintain databases for RFP submission and billing processes
• Collaborate with the QA and Creative teams when necessary to verify all ad units are functioning properly and reporting correctly on internal and third party ad servers and to resolve & minimize discrepancies
• Build internal reports for analyzing traffic patterns, delivery data, and monetization of O&O websites
• Working knowledge of buying using Google Ad Words
• Manage day-to-day trafficking, QAing, reporting and optimizing of campaigns, ensuring that client specifications are met
• Assist in managing network reporting metrics (Comscore, Nielsen, etc.)
• Utilize YouTube CMS for ad hoc reporting requests
Qualifications
• 2-3 years of hands on ad operations experience
• Strong working knowledge of DFP/XFP necessary
• Expertise with MS Office products (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Experience working with both web developers and sales professionals
• Experienced with industry measurement tools (Comscore, etc.)
• Understanding of video ad operations and different video specific formats (VAST, VPAID, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of contracts, experience reviewing IOs/Terms and Conditions is preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of campaign success metrics and analytics
• Experience working with third party data providers to create and evaluate segments
• Experience with VAST, VPAID, HTML, JavaScript, Flash and rich media
• High level knowledge of Ad Tech/Programmatic space - DSPs, SSPs, Exchanges, etc.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and tight deadlines
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem solving skills
• Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
