Full Time Job
The Media Planner will play a critical role within this company, interfacing with Ad Operations and Maker Sales teams in order to satisfy client needs while effectively monetizing Company video properties. A strong analytical mindset and attention to detail is of utmost importance. Maker Studios is looking for someone who is able to roll up their sleeves, contribute to a rapidly expanding sales operation and provide immediate support to teams across the company.
Responsibilities
1. Assist Maker Sales team in the creation of media plans
• Develop winning media plans using strategic thinking while adhering to client RFP details, requests, and requirements
• Help sell Maker's suite of YouTube and proprietary ad products, including Instream, TrueView, and premium mobile app inventory
• Help team to strategize around new ad platforms (social media sites, etc) to expand media offerings
• Familiarity with research tools and vendors for media planning purposes
• Collaborate with Ad Operations for targeting options and inventory checks
• Provide recommended solutions when desired media type is unavailable
• Revise media plans based on client feedback, or according to changing flight dates, talent commitments, budgets, etc
• Input plans into client media template and/or Maker Studios internal templates
• Working knowledge of YouTube Partner Sold rate card, and historical rates obtained via Google Adwords for all available types of YouTube ads and targeting options, as well as for Maker direct ad products.
• Working knowledge of the internal Maker Studios key channel and video content verticals, to implement in media strategy2. Provide media insights and analysis for RFIs and other ad hoc media information requests
3. Act as an internal resource for strategic marketing and historical performance of campaigns across all advertising purchasing platforms
Basic Qualifications
• 2 years hands-on experience working with a digital advertising sales team, preferably in a planning role (prior experience with YouTube advertising highly desired)
• Expertise with MS Office products, particularly Excel
• Experience reviewing media IOs/Terms and Conditions
• Basic knowledge of online advertising research tools: comScore, Nielsen
• Comprehensive understanding of campaign success metrics and analytics
• Experience with 3rd party Ad Servers (experience with DFP and/or Adwords highly desired)
• Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and tight deadlines
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem solving skills
• Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
