In the role of Creative Director for the marketing department at Maker Studios, we are looking for an imaginative mind to develop a wide variety of marketing materials that covers the four main channel brands in our network, including gaming, family and kids, entertainment as well as life and style. As the Creative Director for the marketing team you will be asked to oversee all of the creative marketing assets needed by the department, ranging from traditional requests like print and outdoor to social content such as trailers, teasers and shareables. The desired candidate for this role should be able to hone in on each channel within Maker and not only create the marketing collateral that the teams needs, but also guide and help shape the channel's voice and brand. Above all, we are looking for a passionate, original and highly dedicated creative to help tell the story of our channel's brands in an ever-evolving media world.
Responsibilities
• Guide the style and vision for how Maker's four channel brands are presented in the market place.
• Serve as the central point within the marketing department at Maker for any requests regarding creative marketing materials.
• Where needed work with agencies, as well as with internal designers, in order to create the necessary marketing materials needed by the department.
• Route and aid in the approval process for such materials and insure that they are delivered in a timely manner.
• This will include overseeing the development, as well as the overall look and feel, of all video assets including teasers, trailers and on-air spots.
• Oversee the creative development for more traditional assets such as outdoor or print advertising.
• Develop creative assets for social media, including standard collateral like shareables, but also emerging formats such as looping videos, gifs, cinemagraphs, etc.
• Keep up with trends in the marketplace and make sure that our channel brands remain not only relevant but highly competitive.
• Work closely with the publicity team to create onsite marketing collateral for both consumer and industry events.
• Manage in-house design process and employees.
Basic Qualifications
• Five to seven years of experience in creative advertising.
• Substantial experience in building and maintaining brand identities.
• Keen understanding of all forms of creative advertising, from print to broadcast to online.
• Detailed project management skills and ability to multi-task.
• Experience managing employees as well as collaborating with various departments.
• Understanding of the numerous tools and programs used in the production of creative marketing assets.
• Overall knowledge of the short-form video space.
