As an intern in the Los Angeles offices of Magnolia Pictures & Magnet Releasing, you will be working under the Social Media & Publicity Coordinator assisting with various publicity and social marketing work. You will be learning the inner-workings of social media strategizing, interactive marketing, and how to run a major national publicity campaign in the arena of independent film with small budgets.
Throughout the internship, you will have the opportunity to work directly on our upcoming titles as well as our extensive list of archive films.
Job duties will include:
- Learning how to craft copy and select engaging media that maximizes user engagement on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, GetGlue, Tumblr, Pinterest, Google+ and other social media platforms.
- Supporting the VP of Publicity & VP of Marketing with research and other basic duties.
- Learning how to manage and run an interactive and demanding social marketing campaign for an upcoming release using various types of new media to maximize exposure.
- The opportunity to work hands-on at various Hollywood red carpet movie premieres with A-list celebrity guests in attendance and high profile talent attending to support the release.
- Attending and helping coordinate press day with members of the national media attending.
Interested applicants must also be proficient in Adobe Photoshop and receive college credit as this is an unpaid internship.
