Magic Leap, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated interaction designer and digital prototyper to help imagine, define, and create a next-generation user experience system. Candidates should have 10+ years experience with interaction design and a strong understanding of development and prototyping environments in order to solve next-generation design problems. Candidates must be able to conceptualize and execute UI and UX concepts beyond existing computing paradigms in a fast-paced environment while always keeping user needs at the forefront
Magic Leap is a collective of visionaries, experts, scientists, artists and engineers from the fields of film, robotics, computing, design, music, games and user experience. We are building a new technology platform that will change the human computing experience forever. It's a big task, but we're excited to take it on.
Credentials and Experience:
• 10+ years of relevant professional and creative experience
• Strong problem-solving and prototyping skills
• Interest in technology and curiosity around the future of computing and experience platforms
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player capable of working well with others and leveraging other people's skills and strengths to deliver a stellar product
• Systematic thinking and a desire to make/prototype solutions in order to fail fast and learn quickly
• Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Interaction Design, Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to combine analytical problem solving with digital prototyping and making
• Understanding of development environments and a willingness to interface with engineers on behalf of the design team
• Knowledge of the Unity game engine is a plus
