Entertainment Public Relations Senior Account Executive - Hispanic PR & Marketing

MPRM Communications, a leader in serving the multi-screen world of media and entertainment, is seeking a passionate bi-lingual communicator, with 4-6 years of experience with Spanish language consumer media relations and grassroots marketing in the top 15 U.S. markets, to join HOLA! MPRM, the agency's Hispanic PR & Marketing practice.
We are looking for a candidate with agency experience to develop and execute strategic Hispanic consumer communications campaigns and marketing-grassroots programs for feature films, home entertainment releases (DVD/Blu-ray) and consumer products. The role involves direct client management as well as some account team supervision. Candidates must bring a passion for communications, creativity and the desire to work in a collaborative, friendly, and inspiring setting. Ours is a fast-paced environment and you must be able to juggle work load efficiently and effectively.
Candidates must have Hispanic consumer public relations experience with strong media relationships across broadcast, radio, print and online. Social media acumen and excellent writing skills are a must. We are looking for team players who are self-starters and have leadership potential. Agency experience is a must. JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bilingual skills (written and spoken) in Spanish and English, plus a firm understanding of the US Hispanic market and media landscape. - -
• A proven track record of securing top-tier media placements and promotional opportunities in the top 15 markets. .?
• Excellent verbal, written and proofreading skills - Spanish and English.
• Detail oriented, highly organized and creative in their approach to PR and marketing.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to prioritize assignments and multi-task effectively.
• Ability to learn new technologies and software.
• Candidate should be assertive, proactive and a team player.
• Exercise good judgment, flexibility, adaptability, resourcefulness and strong organizational/time management skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong knowledge base of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, online outreach and partnership marketing).
Responsibilities: -
• Implement the full spectrum of PR and promotions tactics including writing press materials, pitching and placing stories with Hispanic media (TV, print, radio and online) coordinating interviews, and special events, preparing collateral materials, press schedules, junkets etc.?In addition, securing and executing promotional partnerships and sponsorships, as well as coordinating grassroots events.
• Write and edit (Spanish and English) press materials, plans, reports, background materials and ongoing client communications.?
• Pitch media and secure ongoing coverage for clients; mentor team on media relations' practices.
• Support multiple accounts; serve as daily client contact.?
• Track media relations and pitching efforts; provide status reports; manage press clipping process.?
• Work with account coordinators to create client media reports; edit before sending to supervisor for final review.?
• Attend and actively participate in client meetings prepared to provide status.?
• Manage deliverables from client such as press materials, proposals and plans, conference calls, promotional grids, GOFOBo tickets.?
• Execute press events and screening programs and manage team responsibilities, under the direction of VP.?
• Set priorities and manage team to maximize their strengths in support of client's needs.
• Supervise work performed by junior level team members and interns and help develop and mentor staff.?
Qualifications:
• BA/BS required. Emphasis in Journalism, Public Relations and/or Communications, preferred.?
• 4-6 years of public relations agency experience required.?
