Established boutique entertainment PR firm is hiring an experienced talent publicist. Junior publicists with 2+ years experience with talent are OK to apply.
Company is looking for someone with strong entertainment industry (managers, agents, studio & network publicist) and press contacts. Do not respond if you do not meet ALL of the requirements as your application will be denied. This is the perfect company for someone that has drive and ambition, there is room for growth.
Candidate will be:
*Responsible for retaining new business.
*Pitching major magazines, blogs, TV shows, radio shows
*Promoting both the company and clients
* Event attendance/handling clients
*Celebrity charity outreach
* Assisting with styling and image consulting for photo shoots, etc.
*Helping prepare and update press materials such as press kits, writing biographical and press release material
*ETC
We are looking for people who can make an immediate impact. Access to an immediate client list is necessary- however you do not need to already have these clients, just access to signing a couple immediately.
* Must have 2+ years previous experience working as a junior publicist in the least, as well as relationships with key members of the media and celebrities.
* Personal Laptop computer
*Cell phone with text and email capabilities
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong people skills
* Must be reliable, motivated, and organized
* Multi-tasking capabilities, Pay close attention to detail
* Car with insurance
* Prioritizing projects and completing them in a timely manner
The position is a salaried base plus commission-based position with full benefits (insurance, sick, personal days and vacation pay). |
