Part Time Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented receptionist for MLC PR. This position offers room for growth at the agency as a full time PR assistant and later a coordinator or junior positon. We believe in growth from within. Candidate must have excellent office and communication skills, maintain the highest level of confidentiality, have the ability to keep up with daily tasks and follow through in upcoming days to come, and remain composed in high-pressure environments with strong personalities. Must be able to multi-task.
MLC PR is a top-tier, mid-sized public relations firm specializing in entertainment-related publicity services for individuals, films, special projects, events and brands. Our clients include award-winning celebrities from TV, film and music; producers; directors; authors; films; brands; events and entertainment-related products.
This position is for an AM shift: Opening starting at 9 am-1 pm. Monday- Friday at 20 hours per week. It's a bonus if you can work flexible hours in the afternoon as well, should we ever need you to stay longer on busier weeks.
Specific responsibilities:
- Answering phones and rolling calls
- Maintain electronic press kits and press clippings
- Make coffee, order supplies, keep kitchen and conference room clean and in tact
- Sit at reception and greet all guests
- Handle celebrity gifting requests (incoming and outgoing)
- Be available to support any department's administrative needs when someone falls ill/is on vacation
- Research and update contact lists
- Errands as needed (ordering/picking up lunch, buying office flowers, purchasing magazines, etc.)
Requirements:
- Strong phone, research and organizational skills
- Self-starter, able to work independently as well as in teams
- Strong ability to prioritize, solve problems and be resourceful
- Able to handle fast-paced PR environment
- Able to work well under pressure and take direction well
- Able to handle confidential information/issues in a sensitive manner
