Search for Music Licensing Representative jobs in Los Angeles-CA
MLC PR is looking for a Music Licensing Representative with a minimum of 2 years of music licensing experience and established connections in the Film/TV, Advertising, and Internet markets. Must have a history of music placement/pitching experience and current relationships with music supervisors, production companies, film/television studios, and ad creatives. We are looking for an ambitious individual with a proven track record of success, a passion for constantly finding new music, and a desire to discover new licensing opportunities to expand our Artist Development company. Strong communication skills, knowledge of U.S. copyright law (as it pertains to sound recordings/musical compositions), and the confidence required to effectively communicate with clients, music supervisors, and industry leaders is a must.
Responsibilities:
-Seeking out and signing new business
-Forge new relationships with creative professionals both domestically and abroad
-Pitch self-discovered (and assigned) titles to music creative teams for use in a variety of projects
-Secure, negotiate, & close new licenses, and then oversee contracting process
Additional Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree
-Strong passion for music and music licensing
-Contacts and relationships with key music supervisors
-Able to work with confidential and privileged information
-Excellent writing, research and organization skills
-Self-starter, able to work independently
-Strong ability to prioritize, solve problems, work under pressure, and be resourceful
-Can handle fast-paced environment with poise
-Strong attention to detail
-Team player
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Professional demeanor on all counts: appearance, behavior, communication- written/phone
-Laptop
