Search for Account Executive / Publicist jobs in New York-NY
MLC PR is looking for a Publicist with a minimum of 2 years of PR experience with lifestyle/entertainment/talent clients. This position is responsible for helping the President of the company with her east coast clients, as well as servicing and bringing in new accounts in the division.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
-Serving as the day-to-day client contact
-Assisting with President's client list as needed (Pitching, research, coverage)
-Overseeing and tracking all client campaigns
-Developing a PR plan per client
-Creatively coming up with groundbreaking story ideas that can entice editors and bookers
-Devising press materials including press releases, pitches, bios, etc.
-Staying aware of existing and changing media contacts
-Creating monthly client and internal reports
-Working and attending client events
-Monitoring client press breaks
-Researching
-Handling various client accounts while looking for new business
-Moderating media interviews
-Assisting with media training for clients
-Seeking out and signing on new business
Requirements:
-Excellent writing, research and organization skills
-Self-starter, able to work independently
-Strong ability to prioritize, solve problems, work under pressure, and be resourceful
- Can handle fast-paced PR environment
-Strong attention to detail
-Team player
-Creative
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Professional demeanor on all counts: appearance, behavior, communication- written/phone
-Laptop
-Works well alone without much supervision
