Culture Manager

Luma Pictures is an artist owned, artist run visual effects studio with a strong emphasis on studio culture.
We're serious about having fun and are looking for someone who is committed to making sure our studio is lively and enjoyable and a home for our crew. The Culture Manager's role will constantly strive for excellence using a combination of sound management skills and a can-do, positive attitude. The successful candidate must be comfortable with rallying crew, pushing the boundaries, and be a natural positive leader .
The role reports directly to the Head of Culture and is a full-time position from 9:00am to 7:00pm, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime on occasion.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Manage the Luma Pictures Culture Team (Santa Monica)
• Plan and execute fun and exciting activities for the Santa Monica studio on regular basis
• Foster a work environment to keep morale and energy up within the studio
• Implement and execute initiatives that revolve around staff wellbeing
• Communicate staff announcements in liaison with Executive management messaging
• Maintain and manage social media content for Luma Pictures Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram outlets
• Assist in recruitment processes
• Project manage tasks as required on a high level
• Strive to make Luma an enjoyable, friendly environment for staff to work in
• Have a solid understanding of studio facility, vendors, suppliers and clients
• Oversee facilities management and maintenance to ensure the studio is in top condition
• Perform general HR duties including but not limited to assisting in payroll processing; leave requests and providing health care benefits for employees
• General admin duties as required
• General finance and billing tasks
• Event planning, management and execution
• Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively
• Plan Fun. Roll Out Fun. Have Fun.
Trades and Qualifications
• Must have authority to work in the U.S
• Must have a full drivers license
• Degree or qualifications in project management, HR, hospitality or related fields desirable but not essential
• Previous experience in a role similar to this position a plus
• High level knowledge of computer systems
