Overview:
Under minimal supervision, the Manager, Stadium Facilities Maintenance plans, assigns, and reviews repair and maintenance work done by the Skilled Crafts Workers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians (Trade Groups) at Angels Stadium of Anaheim.
Duties:
• Prepares purchase requisitions and ensures accurate inventories of supplies, materials, and parts needed by each trade
• Responsible for the training, work assignments, and productivity of all trades workers
• Prepares monthly work and event schedules for the trades workers
• Schedules, tracks, and inspects all projects performed by each of the trades groups, as well as work performed by outside vendors and contractors
• Processes work orders, vendor orders, work schedules, and other paperwork for the trades groups
• Reads plans and blueprints and participates in layout of work
• Participates in the selection of vendors for the completion of work contracted to third parties
• Responsible for preparing preventive maintenance programs and schedules
• Responsible for maintaining records and filing reports for required inspections and preventive maintenance procedures
• Coordinates construction work done by outside contractors with our in-house departments
• Assists the Director of Stadium Facilities with departmental operations and various other duties as necessary
Qualifications:
• Two year college degree, and/or certificate in Facilities Management or equivalent related experience
• 5 years of experience in a facilities management role, preferably at a professional sports facility
• 3-5 years experience working in one or more of the maintenance or construction trades
• Prior experience working large-scale construction projects preferred
• Knowledge of building codes, applicable local, state, federal and CAL-OSHA regulations
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of individuals including executives, vendors, subcontractors, coworkers and direct reports
• Needs to be committed to delivering excellent customer service to external and internal customers
• Must be able to: positively influence others through service-oriented leadership; prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously using effective delegation; and, following the parameters of a collective bargaining agreement, direct the activities and provide feedback to a population of hourly union employees
