The SVP - Booking is accountable for achieving or exceeding annual financial targets set forth for the Houston business unit. Responsibilities also include all aspects of running the business operationally, with a focus on talent negotiation, acquisition and execution. This role will also oversee marketing and promotions for approximately 200 annual Arena, Amphitheater and Stadium events throughout Texas (excluding Dallas) and Oklahoma.
-Experience leading an overall Concert Team, or leading and running a Live Event or Marketing Business with a strong understanding of Booking, Marketing, Ticketing, Finance, Sponsorship and Production
-Significant history of acquiring and promoting a wide range of diversified artists, with successful results, in multiple markets
-A broad knowledge of Artist histories and capable of accurately researching and determining Artists valuations in a variety of major and secondary markets
-10 years as a Concert Promoter, or 10 years as a Music or Marketing Industry Executive
-Significant experience associated with live events, marketing and talent acquisition
-Develop innovative ideas / products and set annual business strategy, along with US Concerts Division Presidents, that will lead to continued annual market share, revenue and profitability growth within the territory.
-Lead overall concert team, including Booking, Marketing, Ticketing, Production, Sponsorship and Finance.
-Develop proper Business Plans for new growth opportunities as they arise.
-Acquire approximately 200 annual Arena, Amphitheater and Stadium events that yield positive results for the company, our partners and our artist clients.
-Establish and maintain positive relationships with major agents; managers; key external and internal tour personnel; Live Nation employees and all venues within the territory.
-Establish and maintain governmental, civic and political relationships in each municipality throughout the territory.
-Understand and fulfill responsibilities to achieve or exceed annual budget targets on a consistent basis.
-Thoroughly understand and prepare an annual budget and a monthly forecast against the annual budget; comprised from all shows within the territory as well as the costs to run the business.
-Preview and Review event settlements.
-Review Artist Agreements.
Annual base salary commensurate with experience.
