The Role:
Live Nation Entertainment is seeking a dynamic, strategic, sophisticated, multitasking individual for our Associate Director of Operations and Planning. This position is responsible for in multiple capacities from budget and cost management to evaluation of venues, products, and onsite operations. The ideal candidate has Finance and Operations experience, knowing his/or her own way around spreadsheets and venues alike.
Responsibilities:
• Assist to ensure that the data necessary to monitor and report on spending and project budget/forecasts are efficiently collected, maintained and evaluated
• Preparation of event and venue budgets
• Cultivate and assess benchmarks and procedures to improve financial reliability and operational efficiency
• Interact and support Venue General Managers, Production Staff, and finance staff
• Attend Potential new business development meetings and support follow up analytical analysis
• Prepare Deal Point Memos and summaries
• Review and analyze projects financials to ensure event budget accuracy and overall business metric tracking
• Supports the teams in strategic plan development and vision for venues and new business opportunities. Provides leadership in the development and monitoring of division operations, production, and overall event budgets
• Provides guidance and operational direction for the Ticketing, IT, Guest Service and Security departments.
• Develops new techniques of service focused on quality, maximum guest satisfaction and profitability.
• Report corporate, department and project level financial results using variance analysis and other methodical techniques to explain underlying cost drivers
• Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and help improve finance and operations related issues.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years combined experience in a Finance/Operations capacity. Event production experience strongly preferred
• BA/BS in business, accounting or related field; MBA preferred.
• Knowledge of the functions and operations of an entertainment complex
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong excel modeling skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
