Live For Live Music is a premiere media, marketing and concert production company. We deliver up-to-date news to avid concertgoers alongside engaging reviews, interviews, and creative features. We also promote upcoming concerts and produce our own events and music festivals, including Fool's Paradise and Brooklyn Comes Alive.
We are currently seeking an Executive Intern to join our team in NYC this summer! As an intern, you will work closely with our founder and president, Kunj Shah, as well as our booking team, who works tirelessly to put on a series of shows and festivals throughout the year.
Ideal candidates must have exceptional organizational skills, be able to work within a fast-paced environment, share a love for live music and have a working knowledge about jam bands, funk, bluegrass, and rock. While the internship is unpaid, we can provide compensation through college credit and free concert and festival tickets.
Duties:
Sit in on meetings & take detailed notes
Organize show calendars
Scheduling calls & meetings
Collect artist riders & figure out production needs for each show
Double check artist contracts before we send out
Create Excel spreadsheets & checkpoint systems
Research upcoming show dates & festivals to send marketing/promotional materials to
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Robust knowledge of jam music (and ideally funk, rock, EDM, bluegrass, and current music trends)
Ability to juggle and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously
Detail-oriented
Skills:
Proficiency with WordPress & Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (preferred)
Experience with writing and/or editing short- and long-form prose (preferred)
Time Commitment:
Hours flexible; around 20-25 hours per week in-office
