Summary of Position:
Lionsgate is seeking a Stock Plan Administrator to join the Corporate Legal/Finance teams. This position will work in a team environment to ensure full administration of the company's stock plans, under the guidance of the EVP and Associate General Counsel, with additional dotted-line reporting to the SVP, Corporate Reporting and the VP, Business & Legal Affairs (Labor & Employment).
This role requires close coordination with the finance, treasury, payroll, legal, tax and human resources departments to ensure an overall seamless management of our broad-based equity programs that are currently available to over employees in the United States and the United Kingdom. A strong background in finance, payroll and/or stock-based accounting is preferred.
Ensuring accuracy of employee demographic data including tax and payroll details
Supporting administration of equity compensation including vests, releases, grants, option exercises, performance awards, and ESPP purchases utilizing Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Benefits OnLine system
Tracking mobility and taxation in multiple jurisdictions
Updating stock plan processes and work flows
Monitoring and responding to employee inquiries and requests through a stock inbox
Primary employee, broker and transfer agent contact for stock and accounting issues
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local tax filings and withholding requirements related to stock option exercises and restricted stock release
Prepares DWAC instructions to transfer agent for broker to initiate receipt of securities
Interfacing with designated brokers to ensure proper release of shares and assist with employee account issues
Maintaining relationships with payroll and financial contacts for purposes of equity reporting; responsible for accurate and timely reporting to numerous internal groups
Tracking of online grant agreement acceptances
Extensive use of spreadsheets to combine and/or compare data from multiple sources
Provide daily activities on lapses and exercised options
Monthly/Quarterly/Annual audit of grants and expired grants, shares issued and taxes posted
Assist with other equity projects as assigned
Experience & Skills:
BS/BA or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience performing the duties listed above, preferably at a medium to large-sized public company
Proficiency in equity administration software BAML Award Choice system through Benefits Online portal
Proficiency in MS Office suite, with expert level in Excel
Must be a flexible and collaborative team member, able to work under short time constraints
Comfortable working in a highly complex and growing organization
Exceptional commitment to detail and accuracy in all levels of work
Strong communication and writing skills
Level 1 Certified Equity Professional (CEP) (or working towards designation) preferred
Self-motivated with good organizational and analytical skills
Ability to process confidential data and maintain employee discretion
Capacity to learn new skills and knowledge on an independent level
Excellent negotiation, drafting and analytical skills
