The Manager, International Strategy and Finance will be responsible for building and maintaining international film models as films cycle through development, greenlight, and release. This relates to all international revenue streams including output deals, pre-sales, straight distribution, LGUK, and Latin America. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate assumptions on box office, revenue by media, P&A, and backend deal structures across 40+ sales territories worldwide. Ownership of this process will lead to ad hoc analysis as needed. The successful candidate will have the aptitude to tackle multiple projects, problem-solve, and efficiently execute deliverables. The candidate will be expected to interact with and present to senior executives within the Motion Picture Group.
SP&O (DA) Responsibility :
- Build International forecast models to aid in risk assessment as development titles cycle through the greenlight process. Update models as needed to determine financial impact of variables such as backend deal structures, budget, cast and other principle elements.
- Finalize and update all international revenue assumptions as films approach release. Post-release, update models to assess profitability for both Lionsgate and the foreign distribution partner.
- Communicate all relevant updates within the Strategic Planning and Operations department to ensure forecasting and planning assumptions are streamlined, especially during Quarterly Reset and Annual Plan.
- Work across the International division, including International Distribution, Royalties, Legal, and Sales to seek out relevant information to support the models and their assumptions. Including but not limited to: revenue conversions, release dates, box office, P&A, and expenses.
- Serve as primary contact for all LATAM (IDC) and UK (LGUK) communications and updates on released and unreleased titles.
- Perform analysis on International strategic opportunities as it relates to Lionsgate's distribution and co-financing partners.
- Act as department liaison on development of the new International Revenue Tracking System.
Requirements:
- BS / BA in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics; or relevant work experience
- Minimum 3-5 years experience, preferably in financial modeling, management consulting, or banking with an emphasis in entertainment
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel; PowerPoint, Visual Basic, or BPC experience a plus
- Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and manage toward evolving deadlines
- Strong work ethic, high sense of urgency and ability to work extended hours
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
