Lionsgate is a leading provider of entertainment programming to the domestic and international marketplaces. Our television & digital distribution group is responsible for the global distribution to all forms of viewing throughout the world. This includes library theatrical and current series, plus third party product in the pay, free, basic, on-demand/PPV and digital markets.
We have an immediate opening for a SVP of Marketing in our Worldwide TV & Digital Distribution division. Reporting to the COO, Television and President, International TV & Digital Distribution you will be responsible for the marketing strategy, material development and execution for Lionsgate's domestic television and worldwide distribution and digital production groups. This position requires an extremely capable individual who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, is self- motivated AND a self-starter, tactful, detailed orientated, possessing strong analytical, management, organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities:
• Roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty every day (this is first on the list for a reason)
• Assist the television production group and other senior management in crafting the overall marketing strategy for Lionsgate- ever mindful of meeting and exceeding growth targets
Domestic TV Production:
• Support the development team with creative pitch materials
• Support production with talent relations, publicity and interface with the commissioning network (i.e., traditional FTA, cable or digital platforms) including on special events such as Emmys, Golden Globes, etc.
Worldwide Distribution
• Develop and create sales support materials (trailers, sales sheets, catalogues) for the global marketing & sales teams
• Develop strategy for, materials supporting, attend and support the sales teams at key global TV markets (MIPTV, MIPCOM, NATPE & DISCOP)
• Customize sales support materials for localized pitches
• Develop strategy for and oversee research on both Lionsgate & competitor programming
• Manage small team of 4 - 5 staff including resources in international offices
• Conceptualize, manage the development of, rollout and maintain a robust client B2B site
• Provide launch support and ongoing marketing and publicity support for international broadcast partners for all Lionsgate programming
• Customization and delivery of marketing assets for international digital platforms and ongoing marketing / promotional support
• Plan, build and manage marketing infrastructure in order for business to scale more smoothly in time of rapid growth
• Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships with clients (both internally and externally) and vendors
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups across divisions
• Execute data analysis, create presentations, and present findings to all levels of the organization
• Manage and execute projects on an ad hoc basis (e.g. presentations, research, etc.)
• Develop all parameters of marketing and promotional proposals
• Maintain essential and regular reports, summaries, grids and other documentation
• Flawlessly execute day-to-day work and projects.
• ''Push the envelope'' creatively to develop pitches, programs and collateral that distinguishes our products (which are distinct!) from the competition. That is, what is everyone else doing and ….what is better!
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree; MA or MBA is a plus
• Minimum 7-10 years of industry experience an absolute must with ever increasing responsibilities
• Established working relationship with clients and vendors in the global TV marketplace is a huge plus!
• Exceptional communication and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively handle multiple competing priorities and to interact with diverse groups with flair, poise and tact
• Obsessive attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize while ensuring flawless execution
• Ability to identify, analyze and solve challenges across functional areas, especially sales and marketing, contractual/legal and technology
• Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
