Lionsgate has an immediate opening for PO/Budget Assistant in Theatrical Marketing, which will report directly to the Director, Financial Reporting. We are looking for someone who will provide support to the Theatrical Marketing department, will be self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis organization and unwavering attention to detail at all times. This is a demanding position that requires someone who is able to exercise good judgment and significant initiative.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Communication with internal teams to help facilitate budget process/vendors.
- Setting-up purchase orders (PO's) in our accounting system (SAP) to track orders and ensure appropriate coding to enable financial reporting and analysis.
- Working with Accounts Payable to ensure vendors are set up to be paid timely and accurately.
- Supporting operational process improvements.
- Prepare daily journal entries to capture daily transactions for the department.
- Maintain project finance logs.
- Excel oriented projects & data entry as needed.
- General administrative support for department as needed.
- Will be a team player and cover for other department assistants as needed.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- BA in relevant field and ideal position for someone who want to learn and work at a studio before going back for a MBA.
- Ideally candidate will have some experience or knowledge of SAP and/or BPC systems, but not required, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Is an effective communicator who can organize, summarize and clarify simply, succinctly and accurately between multiple teams.
- Has a passion for understanding and improving business process that can help drive revenue.
- Is organized and detail oriented.
- Be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven organization.
- Be able to function autonomously and effectively as part of a loosely coupled, but highly-aligned team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
