The Manger, Field Promotions & Publicity will report to the Vice President, Field Publicity and Promotions as well as work alongside the Vice President, Field Publicity to assist in developing and implementing comprehensive publicity and promotional campaigns to promote Lionsgate theatrical releases.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist in the development, implementation and execution of publicity and promotional campaigns for theatrical film releases
• Direct field agency offices, overseeing activities in up to 50 US markets
• Direct any necessary specialty consultants and agencies (e.g., Hispanic Agencies, Urban Agencies, Genre Consultants, Street Teams)
• Assist in the development of a publicity, promotional and grassroots strategy for each film, create specific directives and ensure the proper execution of said directives by way of all applicable agencies
• Act as liaison between studio and talent/filmmakers in order to coordinate publicity appearances and promotional events, managing schedules, calendars and oversee travel needs
• Manage and implement logistics in coordinating publicity appearances and promotional efforts at festivals (e.g., TIFF, SXSW, Mill Valley, Chicago, Sundance), conventions (e.g. San Diego ComicCon, WonderCon, Fantastic Fest, WizardCon) and publicity tie-in events (e.g. CinemaCon, Super Bowl)
• Oversee all functions of domestic press junkets and national press days, including facilitating TV, print and radio press and talent
• Arrange and manage regional press days, talent tours (PA Tour), special events and national stunts which generate press coverage (e.g. Red Carpet Events, Meet and Greet Events, Soundtrack Concerts)
• Orchestrate set visits for regional TV and print journalists, both local and traveling press
• Manage agencies to pitch print, TV, radio and online press to secure, pre-Sunday features, daily print pieces, on air radio interviews, local TV pieces and online features; (e.g. Asset Distribution, Radio Tours, Phone Interviews, Satellite Media Tours, College Conference Calls)
• Strategize and oversee a regional and specialty social media influencer campaign specific to each film being released. Work with agencies and social media influencers directly to garner publicity and promotion coverage in support of the campaign
• Coordinate all Los Angeles, New York and regional promotions with radio, print, television and online partners; work with the media team to leverage the promotions using media buys
• Coordinate promotions and publicity driven events with national licensing and merchandising partners (e.g. Talent Appearances, Promotional Give-aways.)
• Act as liaison with music labels and music artists to promote the release of soundtracks and/or scores tied to a film with publicity, promotions, street teams, appearances, etc.
• Create all film promotional items and press mailers
• Implement nationwide screening programs, both promotional and word of mouth
• Track and adhere to budgets for all film campaigns and large scale publicity events
• Compile, analyze and distribute extensive reports on all publicity and promotional activities
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a marketing and/or publicity capacity
Eligibility Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in communications or related degree
• Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with hours.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Superior communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deal with deadline pressure.
• Strong work ethic.
