Lionsgate Entertainment is a leading global entertainment company synonymous with original, daring, quality entertainment in markets around the world. We handle a prestigious and prolific library of approximately 15,000 film and TV titles, including ''The Hunger Games,'' ''Twilight,'' ''Divergent,'' ''Mad Men,'' Tyler Perry's library and more via multiple methods of distribution including on-demand and digital.
Lionsgate has an immediate opening for a Manager in the Content Operations & Strategy group. As a member of the staff, this person is expected to serve an operational role liaising with all segments of business including Sales, Marketing, Product Fulfillment, Finance, Information Technology, and Legal. In the course of day to day activity, he/she will manage strategic 3rd party vendor relationships to enable distribution of digital and physical goods, coordinate efforts to post-mortem digital releases for merchandising and availability, orchestrate centralized order processing, marshal timely title avails, and architect advancements in Lionsgate's supply chain process and communication.
In support of these functions, this person will be part of a dynamic team in a rapidly growing segment of our industry. Required skills include: keen attention to detail amidst vast amounts of dates and data; strong communication skills both internally and externally; passion/knowledge for Lionsgate movies, TV and the industry as a whole; the ability to evaluate and problem solve within the complex areas of distribution; exhibit critical thinking to promote process efficiencies; interpret financial data, and to draw conclusions. Our staff is also expected to manage competing priorities on a daily basis, be outgoing, ambitious and personable - willing to pick up the phone when others might email. Our staff is also highly initiative and responsible to execute on a daily basis.
Reporting into the Worldwide Home Entertainment Division, our team is a leader in the industry in box office-to-VOD revenue and a high-profile department at Lionsgate. Furthermore, our collaborative group bridges the worlds of programming, distribution, sales and marketing to grow our business and the business categories as a whole. Operational Responsibilities:
• Apply contractual terms, pricing policies, revenue models and various business structures to operational supply chain for continuous process efficiency.
• Timeline management of Home Entertainment and Television supply chain initiatives, from varying grantors and distribution libraries, including title re-releases.
• Learn and leverage title windows and holdbacks across all distribution mediums to maximize revenue earned from releases.
• Determine rights management conflicts and availabilities across entire worldwide Lionsgate catalog for multiple distribution channels.
• Track, analyze and communicate key quantitative and qualitative metrics - and apply lessons learned from the metrics in Lionsgate's business.
• Create and apply tracking mechanisms to ensure delivery of all digital assets, metadata and other materials as needed.
• Liaise with Financial Reporting to analyze licensee relationships for data anomalies as well as quick wins, escalating as necessary.
• Successfully engage with varying levels of management at Lionsgate, retail partners, 3rd party vendors and industry as a whole.
• Adapt quickly to an entrepreneurial business environment and rapidly evolving industry.
• Track record of effectively mentoring, managing and evaluating direct reports.
• Manage special projects and/or other duties as assigned.
Desired skills:
• 5+ years of experience in content distribution of operations within the entertainment industry required (film/TV preferred).
• Cable, satellite, digital and non-theatrical experience/relationships strongly preferred.
• Exceptional business acumen, communication, organizational and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical mindset and comfort with Microsoft Office suite of products; Excel (including macros, formulas and pivot tables) and Powerpoint.
• Self-Starter that thrives in a collaborative environment with competing deadlines, able to apply logic and critical reasoning to solving problems.
• Strong sense of task ownership and urgency to drive results.
• Genuine interest in digital, mobile, cable, cloud technology and the changing landscape of media.
• MBA strongly preferred.
