Lionsgate has an immediate opening for an IT Business Analyst. This role presents an opportunity to contribute to the fast paced entrepreneurial culture of a leading global entertainment company. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, organized, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The IT Business Analyst will provide hands-on application administration and daily end user support for Lionsgate's various business applications. He/She will also play a role in the enhancement of existing business applications as well as the configuration and testing of new business applications. He/She will collaborate with other IT team members and a wide range of end-users and key stakeholders throughout various departments. The IT Business Analyst will be able to guide application requirements definition and testing efforts. He/She will learn, and where needed document, Lionsgate's business processes, and will facilitate the identification of process improvement opportunities through better use of technology. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter dedicated to expanding his/her knowledge as well as to sharing that knowledge with others. The ability to multitask and coordinate work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is imperative, as is the ability to coordinate efforts with others toward achieving departmental and company goals.
The IT Business Analyst is responsible for:
• Administration of business applications; day to day end-user support and training
• Working with users and other IT team members to define business issues and solutions
• Thoroughly documenting business requirements and translating into functional requirements. Designing, configuring, testing and implementing solutions
• Evaluating new functionality delivered by software vendors
• Conducting testing of support packs and upgrades
• Ensuring completeness and accuracy of project and production support documentation
• Reporting to management regarding project and production support status
• Adhering to application change management policies and procedures
• Conducting end-user training and on-going support
Requirements:
• At least 3 - 5 years of hands-on business application configuration/administration and end user support experience (package software systems for Human Resources, Legal, Sales, Operations, or Accounting)
• Ability to learn new business processes and new and changing software applications
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and systems design skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
• Experience following a structured project life cycle methodology
Additional skills preferred:
• Bachelor's degree from accredited institution in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering preferred but not required
• Experience with SAP Success Factors, Document Management Systems and/or Microsoft SharePoint is a plus.
• Entertainment industry experience is a plus
