Summary of Position:
The Director of Corporate FP&A will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the company's consolidated financial planning models and related company-wide processes. The position will oversee and take an active role in enhancing and maintaining the management reporting and financial planning environment (SAP-BPC) through close collaboration with end-users, IT and accounting. The position also plays a critical role in assuring the timely completion and presentation of quarterly reforecasts, the annual plan, and long-term forecasts. Responsibilities include:
• Prepare and analyze profitability statements by market, business line, and customer.
• Provide financial modeling related to strategic projects.
• Prepare and analyze competitive information and reports.
• Utilize external data to benchmark company results.
• Upgrade the organization's decision support capabilities. Develop and install key financial and operating metrics (KPIs) specific to each operating company and to new projects.
• Actively participate in the review, due diligence and decision making for acquisitions and new investment opportunities in the pipeline and lead in the integration of closed acquisitions, as appropriate.
• Serve as a key ''sponsor'' and active participant in implementing the company's new ERP system.
• Work closely with FP&A leadership in advisory role to CFO and COO on a wide range of financial, strategic, operational, and organizational issues.
• Work closely with the operating executives to monitor performance and evaluate/advise on the financial impact of short- and long-term decisions.
• Identify and recommend internal process changes resulting in greater financial and operating efficiency.
Experience & Skills:
• 5-8 years of experience highly relevant to the role; entertainment industry experience preferred.
• Experience with OLAP analysis tools (BPC, Hyperion) is essential.
• Must have outstanding Excel modeling skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Must possess strong leadership qualities to motivate and persuade others to accomplish organizational objectives in a unified and fluent manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be extremely conscientious and detailed-oriented.
• Must have a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; MBA/CPA preferred.
