DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER, CODEBLACK FILMS - LIONSGATE (SANTA MONICA, CA)
Reporting to the EVP/General Manager and President of Codeblack Films (CBF), the Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, tracking and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels targeting the African American and multi-cultural consumers. This position will liaise with the Lionsgate digital marketing teams and any outsourced marketing agency to ensure there is consistency in messaging strategies and aggregate all launch details into a comprehensive plan.
The focus of the Digital Marketing Manager is to develop strategic and tactical marketing initiatives designed to increase brand and product awareness and incite targeted consumers to purchase products promoted by company. This position is responsible for the oversight and management of Codeblack Films' website properties and mobile application(s), as well as creating digital marketing campaigns that result in maximum engagement across digital consumer touch points for CBF product releases and branding campaigns. The Digital Marketing Manager will be accountable for performance-based results while coordinating and managing all launch aspects of CBF digital marketing initiatives. Campaign activations will be designed to support the national marketing initiatives for each CBF product release and incite sales of CBF's theatrical and home entertainment product releases.
This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a high paced environment while managing multiple tasks & maintaining focus and a professional attitude. The Digital Marketing Manager must have the ability to develop and implement focused marketing strategies, maintain high quality standards with attention to detail and deliver against timelines. The Digital Marketing Manager will also be expected to attend Digital Marketing and industry-specific conferences when appropriate.
Core Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Implement digital execution plans across multiple online consumer touch points.
- Create and execute engaging content marketing activations across strategically targeted digital platforms.
- Manage and maintain a complex digital marketing execution schedule and communicate activation plans clearly to all campaign stakeholders.
- Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of the online digital space, and the quickly evolving social and mobile ecosystems.
- Plan and execute various web, SEO/SEM, social media, email database, and promotional campaigns.
- Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
- Collaborate with the Lionsgate digital team and CBF Social Media Manager and Field Marketing Manager to develop campaign strategies that elevate brand awareness, audience subscribership and drive sales.
- Partner with the Lionsgate digital team and media agencies of record to develop briefs and guide the strategic framework of a campaign's digital activation.
- Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
- Ensure that all CBF digital engagement campaigns are in alignment with the broader product release marketing campaigns for both theatrical and home entertainment releases.
- Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of campaigns.
- Analyze, review, and prepare weekly reports on effectiveness of campaigns (engagement, growth, insights) in an effort to maximize results.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or related field
required; advanced business degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in integrated digital marketing.
- Experience in developing digital content marketing strategies.
- Strong knowledge of digital trends and social media technologies pertinent to driving digital audience growth, engagement and product sales.
- Experience in managing the digital campaign process from brief, through design direction, copy writing, approval and reporting.
- Very strong communication skills, with the ability to work in an ambiguous environment with proven experience working on complex, large-scale, time- critical projects.
- Strong cross-functional experience with the ability to manage multiple projects on various levels with different and converging timelines.
- Comfortable with numbers and analysis of campaign metrics (KPI's).
- Strong ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment
to achieve goals.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Willingness to work long hours and some weekends with short notice
- Must be willing to work in Santa Monica, CA
