A new Coordinator position in Music Business & Legal Affairs requires a talented individual who will handle a variety of asset management and administrative duties in support of daily operations for the Music Business & Legal team.
Responsibilities:
Manage cue sheet process, from collection of preliminary cue sheets for theatrical, television and SVOD productions and acquisitions, liaising with editors and composers, setting up screenings, and making revisions to ensure accuracy and compliance, through timely submission to Performing Rights Societies and management of PRO relationships
Deliver music assets and related documents to our partners, including publishing administrators and soundtrack labels
Maintain music rights and contract databases
Analyze contracts to determine our music rights, and advise supervisors and internal executives
Phone coverage, data entry and filing, expense reports, obtain signatures and distribute agreements internally and externally, maintain schedules, and assist the department in any day to day needs
Experience & Skills:
Legal or paralegal background required
Microsoft Office Suite required; Rapid Cue and On-Base knowledge helpful
Excellent communication skills
Must be extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Must be able to meet tight deadlines and capable of working with confidential legal information
College degree is required; California Bar or Paralegal certificate preferred
