Summary of Position:
Lionsgate is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Report Developer. This position will be responsible for developing reports and dashboards with insightful KPIs, trends, clusters, and comparisons. The BI Developer will need to be well-rounded with business and technical skills and be able to collaborate with a wide range of business stakeholders, functional users, and technical teams. The BI developer will be part of a larger BI team which encompasses big data, data warehousing, business intelligence, KRUX DMP support, data science and over all enterprise BI development initiatives. Responsibilities:
• Developing reports, charts, graphs with meaningful and easy to follow insights
• Developing dashboard visualizations with easy to follow KPIs, cluster analysis and trends using Tableau and similar BI visualization software
• Writing SQL Data Definition Language and Data Manipulation Language logic using tools like MS-SQL and other ANSI standard platforms
• Reverse engineering Excel macro logic to be repurpose in new dashboards and reports
• Performance tune dashboards and the underlining ''big data'' data sets
• Ability to reverse engineer complicated SQL and repurpose for new reports and dashboards
• Ability to comprehend complicated Home Entertainment & Sales and Planning business logic
• Ability to comprehend and report on multiple DMP marketing data streams
• Implementing report automation, error handling, and notifications
• Work closely with internal and external project team members including business stakeholders, functional business users and technical teams
• Ensuring thorough documentation of business requirements and proper translation into functional requirements. Participating in design, configuration, testing and implementation of solutions based on these requirements
• Aggregating and analyzing large datasets. Identifying data issues, recommending cleansing and other corrective actions needed for report development
• Supporting and adhering to application change management policies and procedures
• Importing, transforming, validating and modeling data with the purpose of supporting decision making activities with a focus on the Home Entertainment & Sales and Planning teams
Experience & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science and 3-5 years' experience developing data ETLs; Masters is in CS, stats or math a plus!
• Development expertise with BI tools like Tableau, Excel, SQL procs, Crystal/BOBJ. BeX
• Very experienced developing reports and dashboards with really large data sets
• Very experienced tuning data sources and dashboards performance
• Very experienced in bringing data from multiple data sources for a report or dashboard
• Strong familiarity with database architecture, development and structured /unstructured data
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and systems design skills with attention to detail
• Good customer focus and excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• SAP experience preferred - CRM-IPM experience ideal
• Entertainment industry Sales & Planning /HE experience, a plus
• Advanced data science experience with marketing and digital content, a plus
• Experience Hadoop (MapReduced), Apache SPARK and SQL Server, a plus
• SAP BW, & HANA and PDW Enterprise Warehouse, a plus
• Experience with home entertainment digital marketing and DMP platforms, a plus
• Experience with Java and HTML, a plus
