Summary of Position:
Lionsgate is currently seeking a Director to assist an EVP, Legal by providing legal support for digital productions as well as international co-production deals. This attorney will be part of a team responsible for negotiating and drafting development and production agreements.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Responsible for legal matters during the course of digital production deals as well as international co-productions, including but not limited to evaluating rights issues, clearance matters, guild issues, advertising, promotion and publicity issues and international regulatory compliance
• Draft and negotiate a variety of contracts in an accurate and timely manner and provide thoughtful legal advice on potential risks and issues
Qualifications/Requirements:
• JD degree from an accredited law school
• 5+ years of production legal experience at a motion picture or major
entertainment law firm
• Member of the California State Bar or Registered with the California Bar as
in house counsel
• Excellent communication, negotiation, drafting and analytical skills

- function independently and able to handle a high volume of deals, matters and
- agreements.
