Assistant Photo Editor

This is a Full Time Job

TV Guide com has an immediate opening for an Assistant Photo Editor. This position will work closely with the art and editorial team to obtain photos needed to support fast-paced breaking news content. Will be the point person with our LA office, and will quickly research and select the best image to illustrate an article, feature or photo gallery. A talent for generating ideas for galleries and stories, as well as finding better ways to conduct research and manage workflow. The hours for this position are 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

The successful candidate must be knowledgeable and interested in movie, television and celebrity culture. Will have expertise in Photoshop that includes resizing, cropping, color correction, insets, montages in both a Mac and PC environment, detail-oriented data maintenance in a CMS environment - uploading photos, metadata, etc. Must have excellent communication, flexibility, people skills and the ability to think for yourself, multi-task and prioritize.

Pluses:

• Keeping current on rights management issues, celebrity news and gossip and new technologies in the web, mobile and social media arenas.
• At least one year experience at a consumer website, ideally entertainment related.
• Graphic design capabilities - powerpoint presentations, ad banners, etc
