Summary of Position:
The Assistant, Business & Legal Music position requires a talented individual who will handle a variety of administrative duties in support of daily operations for the Business & Legal Music team. Responsibilities:
• Phone coverage, data entry and filing, expense reports, maintain schedules, and assist the department in any day to day needs
• Assist with analysis of library and acquisitions
• Collect, review, edit, and route all cue sheets for our theatrical productions, television productions, and acquisitions
• Coordinate with performing rights societies, producers, music editors, and composers to ensure cue sheets are accurate and submitted in a timely fashion
• Gather and submit all applicable documents to our co-publisher and administrator Warner/Chappell in order to meet delivery requirements for projects we have music rights to
• Analyze contracts to determine our music rights for acquisitions in order to collect the proper documentation needed to submit cue sheets and deliver materials to Warner/Chappell where it applies
• Maintain and organize our music rights, cue sheet, and contract databases including Rapid Cue and OnBase
Experience & Skills:
• Minimum of 2 years of related administrative experience
• Possess excellent computer (Microsoft Office Suite, DiaLog, Adobe Acrobat)
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines and capable of working with confidential legal information
• College degree is required
