Effective Date: June 27, 2016
Job Description: Maintain existing relationships, and form new relationships with theatrical, video and television buyers in specific territories and generate sales.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Generate sales while nurturing new and existing relationships with client database in specific territories.
• Current territories: Eastern Europe, Israel, S. Africa, Asia and Australia. (Additional territories may be added)
• Research, correspond and follow up (phone calls/emails) with clients.
• Attend film and television markets including Berlin, MIPTV, Cannes, MIPCOM and AFM (Additional markets may be added).
• Liaise with company's contracts, servicing and acquisitions departments.
• Recommend marketing initiatives to exploit back catalogue.
• Prepare weekly reports to review during sales meetings.
• Handle organization of film and television markets, including registration and meeting requests.
• Assist with training other junior and entry-level sales staff and seasonal interns.
Job Qualifications
• Film and television sales and distribution experience required. Specifically a strong knowledge of film sales, contracting, collections, & servicing.
• Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and be a self-starter
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work well with people.
• Ability and desire to travel internationally
• Comfortable with working with all film/TV genres and ratings, including adult oriented programming.
Education or Formal Training:
• College degree preferred.
• Experience and working knowledge of rights management system (FilmTrack) preferred.
