The Senior Creative Director's main purpose is to lead and guide the execution of marketing campaigns (this includes: series, movies, stunts, specials, shoots, corporate outreach initiatives and ad sales strategies) by supervising the writer producers and vendors to ensure the direction, development and creative execution of marketing campaigns. He or she becomes a necessary communication bridge between marketing and other entities such as programming, production and show producers, as well as develops relationships with outside vendors. This person is the right hand to the SVP of On-Air promotion and helps to disseminate on a daily basis the many details of the marketing process. Must have On-Air Marketing knowledge and problem solving abilities and the skill set to help keep the Marketing department functioning at the highest quality level. This individual takes ownership of all materials assuring the upkeep of standards and quality for all on air promotion, public affairs and integration campaigns for all of Lifetime's Networks (movies, series, advocacy, unscripted and branding.) Must have excellent communications and superior copywriting skills. Must be proactive and understand time management of the creative process. Should posses strong team management skills and a complete understanding of the production process from start to finish. PRIMARY DUTIESoManage a creative team that will conceptualize marketing campaigns for series, specials, and network initiatives that will increase ratings and brand awareness. oDevelop creative on-air promo ideas, through brainstorming and research evaluation, which will increase viewer retention through commercial breaks. oDevelop and produce promotional spots that support brand values in order to increase and maintain viewer loyalty. oCreative leadership and dissemination of campaign notes to writer producers and vendors with artistic direction and strategyoMaintain vendor supervision and seek out new relationships
Required Experience
College Degree required. As position oversees staff, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years managerial experience. Candidate must have 3-5 years of quality campaign launch experience including formats such as TV, print, digital and social media applications. Strong interpersonal, project and time management skills a must. Must be able to multi-task and regularly meet deadlines. Experience in On-Air promotion within either a cable or broadcast environment a plus. Brand building and creative presentation skills a plus.
